Community star Donald Glover has reportedly joined the cast of Marvel's Spider-Man: Homecoming.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Glover is in negotiations with Marvel to play an unknown role. Glover has expressed interest in the past in playing Spider-Man for quite some time, and just last year voiced Miles Morales — a.k.a Spider-Man — in the Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon series.
Although Glover won't play the web-slinging hero this time around, he will join young actor Tom Holland in the film. Holland made his debut as Spider-Man in Marvel's most recent film, Captain America: Civil War. Robert Downey Jr., who plays Iron Man, will also star in the reboot.
Spider-Man: Homecoming will start production in June and is slated to be released July 7, 2017.
