The final trailer for Disney’s live-action Beauty and the Beast sets the stakes for both the Beast and Belle.
The first two trailers have put a ton of attention on Belle (Emma Watson) and her journey of self-discovery while trapped inside the Beast’s (Dan Stevens) mansion. For the most part, the Beast has remained relatively absent, but the final trailer sheds some light on how Stevens will approach portraying the character.
Belle and Beast’s relationship is also touched upon, with a longer look at how it develops over the course of the film. Belle and Beast’s relationship is one of the most memorable arcs from the animated movie, which was released in 1991. Details surrounding the relationship and how it develops have been vague, but much like Beast himself, the final trailer is the best look Disney has provided yet.
The trailer also plays host to Ariana Grande and John Legend’s duet of the iconic song Beauty and the Beast.
Beauty and the Beast will be released on March 17.
