Nintendo is giving Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia, the Nintendo 3DS remake of Famicom game Fire Emblem Gaiden, the deluxe treatment when it releases in May.
The Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia limited edition bundle includes a copy of the game, a hardcover art book, a soundtrack CD and a pin set featuring pixelated versions of characters Alm, Celica and Marth. The package will also include a “reversible cover sheet that looks like the packaging for the original Famicom game,” Nintendo said in a release.
The limited edition will retail for $59.99, while the standard version of the game is priced at $39.99. Both versions will be released May 19, the same day a two-pack featuring amiibo of Shadows of Valentia’s Alm and Celica hits stores. The amiibo set will retail for $24.99.
Here’s what those amiibo do in Shadows of Valentia:
When used in the game, these amiibo will activate their own exclusive dungeons, allowing heroes to earn items and level up their armies further by defeating bosses. By selecting Mila’s Turnwheel from the menu on the overworld map, they will also be able to take advantage of their Alm and Celica amiibo in battle. During combat, players can sacrifice a portion of Alm or Celica’s health in order to summon a computer-controlled illusory hero, which will act as a temporary ally for a single turn.
In Europe and the U.K., the Alm and Celica amiibo will be packed in with the Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia limited edition bundle.
