Atlus has released a trio of videos for the upcoming Shin Megami Tensei 4 showing the various methods in which players can interact with the in-game demons.
Perhaps the most common method of interacting with demons is to kill them in battle, and the first video shown here gives viewers a look at how the game's battles will work. As with previous games in the series, combat is turn-based and fought from a first-person perspective.
The second video shows how the player can negotiate with demons in order to recruit them to the playable party, though viewers who can't read Japanese won't get much concrete information out of it. The third and final video shows off the game's fusion system, in which a priest can take existing demons in the party and fuse them together to create a new combatant. This system should be familiar to anyone who has played any of the recent Persona games.
Shin Megami Tensei 4 comes out for 3DS in Japan this May, and in North America this summer.
