Release of Cadence Time Services!

Polygon, Inc. is pleased to announce Cadence Time Services version 3.10F has been released on March 30, 1999.  This version supports Novell NetWare and Microsoft NT servers and workstations.  Install on either type of server and have a full NTP time host at your location.  Version 3.10 is able to use dial-up services, Network Time Protocol, and any serial clock time sources.  Have the all-in-one product that keeps the correct time synchronized across your network. 

Why should we upgrade our Cadence version 2.53 to version 3.10?

While we will support Cadence version 2.53 for one year, this software does not contain the added features of Cadence Time Services version 3.10.   Our previous versions of Cadence were broken down into four different products.   Some of you are familiar with Cadence, Cadence NTP, Cadence Plus and Cadence for NT.  Now, you only need to familiarize yourself with one all-inclusive product for your NetWare and/or NT platforms. 

Features

• Multiple time sources - version 3.10 has the ability to retrieve time from more than one time source.  You may use dial-up, NTP and radio clock sources.   

• Fault tolerance - enables your network to have the correct time by monitoring the time sources.  If one system breaks down, you can access another without interference or delay.

• Sanity checking - if one time source is failing, Cadence will recognize this and not allow your network time to fail.   Cadence will ignore any faulty time sources and use others. 

• UNIX synchronized - now you can configure your NetWare and/or NT servers to give the time to your networked UNIX boxes.

• Configuration - version 3.10 is controlled on your NetWare reference server and/or on an NT server from a common control center running Windows 95, 98, or NT. 

• Clients - any NTP or SNTP client can get the time from Cadence.
