In addition to supporting serial communications, all of our poly-STAR software versions include poly-NET.  poly-NET provides state-of-the-art PC to DEC connectivity for LAN-based PCs.  poly-NET incorporates Polygon's multiple-protocol technology that allows both DEC's Local Area Transport (LAT) protocol and PC LAN protocols to simultaneously operate on a singe Ethernet board.  This enables PCs to communicate directly over Ethernet to both a PC LAN and a DEC VAX or other host - with no gateways or rebooting.  Support for industry standard interfaces include NetWare ODI and Microsoft NDIS compliant networks.  (Banyan Vines, LAN Manager, Windows for Workgroups, Windows 95, and Windows NT)

All poly-STAR versions come in single user or in network LAN packs.   The network version includes additional user management features that you install to your PC LAN Server.
