DRAGON'S DOGMA: DARK ARISEN
Frankly, I'm bloody excited. There's a little bit of glitter in my tummy which matches how I counted down the days until the original was released. I'm looking forward to wandering through the game with a brand new character, finding myself immersed in the new content and losing myself all over again.
I'm impressed that Capcom is releasing the expanded game for such a cheap price. Hopefully a few folks have heard the fuss over the original and will be tempted to delve purely based on the price point alone. I think it's a cracking way of expanding the userbase in time for the sequel, and in turn creating more revenue to make the second game a more polished title.
Certainly there's a mindset for the new stuff not being available as DLC, but who's to say that Capcom won't spin on their heels and offer it at a later point? I'm chuffed at getting a few extra bits for buying the original [but don't really expect to use them to be honest] and even if I traded the first game in I could get £10 [$15.71] for it, with the game being sold for just £13.99 [$21.97] at Amazon, that's £3.99 extra. Cheaper than most DLC.
So, if you're a fan of the first game, are you tempted by the expanded edition? Put off by the fact it's not DLC only? Or if you're new to the series, does the price point tempt you to give the game a try?
