Playing PC games on Linux -- how-to requested

Hey guys. This morning i read a great writeup by josh.melnick in the Mac forums on how to run EXEs using Wine and it got me thinking -- wouldn't it be great to have something like that for Linux? I'm no Windows hater (in fact, i'm pretty much an all-platform kinda guy), but i see some definite potential advantages (like hammering out a very slimmed-down distro giving as much resources as possible to your games).

Anyways, not having the wherewithal to write one myself, i'm calling out to people who do and who'd like to post some tips or how-tos.

Thanks in advance!
