The Game of the Year discussion - Share and motivate your pick.

With 2012 inching closer and closer to an end, it's time to put down the controller and/or mouse/keyboard and think back on what exactly we all played this year. It has been a surprising year in many regards, where some indie games and new IPs left us in amazement, and certain well established franchises just didn't live up to the expectations set by previous titles (You know the ones).

As always, it's entirely subjective and comes entirely down to ones opinion. There is no right or wrong. Take a minute, glance over your ever-growing steam library or tower of cases and try to remember:
