Why do some games have a voice-over of the game name on the title screen?
Some games (eg resident evil, bayonetta) have a voice-over in the title screen saying the game name out loud, view the video for examples of what I mean.

Where does this tradition come from? Is it a certain company (CAPCOM)? Is it from the arcade where you need the sound to attract gamers? Is it something that Japanese developers put in so the gamers know how to pronounce the names? I welcome speculation but I would love to see some kind of sources to back up any claims.
