1: Silent Hill: Book Of Memories Review: Revisionist History by Phil Kollar
Book of Memories brings a long list of changes to the Silent Hill formula, but all of the tweaks seem out-of-touch and desperate. "You guys like co-op games?" it asks. "We've got co-op now! And loot? We totally added loot!" You can practically see nervous sweat dripping off the game as it begs to be loved or even considered.
2: Halo 4's Spartan Ops Episode 4 trailer brings a mysterious being to Requiem by Alexa Ray Corriea
The next episode of Halo 4's Spartan Ops launches early next week, and will center around the appearance of the Sangheili terrorist known as "The Didact's Hand" on the planet Requiem.
Upcoming DLC for Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed could feature fan-chosen characters, developer Sumo Digital's Steve Lycett announced in a post on the official Sega forums. If at least 1,000 fans agree on three characters to include in the title by December, Lycett states he will bring these suggestions to Sega to potentially include in the downloadable content.
4: Spec Ops: The Line analysis 'Killing is Harmless' available now by Megan Farokhmanesh
Killing is Harmless: A Critical Reading of Spec Ops: The Line, an analysis of virtual violence by critic and academic Brendan Keogh, is now available starting at $2.99. Officially announced on Nov. 3, Killing is Harmless is Keogh's 50,000-word attempt to answer questions about the nature of violence in games, as well as "Western interventionism and wars conducted via proxies."
5: Warface named top online game in Russia by Alexa Ray Corriea
Warface, the free-to-play PC shooter from the team behind Crysis, was recently named the best online game in Russia, developer Crytek announced today. Warface, published in Russia by its leading internet company the Mail.Ru Group, has gathered more than 5 million registered users since its launch, according to the developer.
