Nintendo Direct E3 disappointments?

As a huge Nintendo fan I was fairly pleased with everything they announced and showed during the Direct conference. It really did get me excited to be a Wii U and 3DS owner. I am, however, bummed about a few things:

1. Super Mario 3D World looks more like a Super Mario 3D land 2 with multiplayer and on Wii U, which is ok because I enjoyed 3D Land a lot, it just wasn't what I was wanting/expecting the new 3D Mario to be.

2. I wanted to see a new F-Zero more than anything. I was really hoping after Miyamoto saw more interest in the series and expressed that the Wii U was a better fit than the Wii for a new game, we might at lease get a title or a confirmation a new title was in the works, even it it was far off from release. Here's hoping we see a new entry in the future.

3. More cross compatibility between the 3DS and Wii U. This also includes a unified username for Wii U and 3DS. I know Smash Brothers is going to be cross multiplayer compatible but I really wanted to see more of this. I know a 3DS wouldn't be able to stream Wii U games but wouldn't it be great to see your Wii U stream 3DS games? Without the 3D of course. Finally cross buy (like PlayStation) even if it's just between Virtual Console games. I see no reason why the Wii U and 3DS can't share Virtual Console games.

4. This one is my "way out there" disappointment. I was hoping to see a new Wario game. Not WarioWare or Game and Wario, but a new Wario Land game. The original four Game Boy games were some of my favorite ever and I would love to see the series get a new, true, entry.. I played and owned the Wario Land on Wii but it just wasn't the same. I know this is probably a long shot but a new Wario Land that stays true to the first four would get me so excited and be a day-one purchase for me hands down.

Don't get me wrong, I really did enjoy everything they announced and thought this Direct was one of Nintendo's best E3's in a while. I just wanted to share what I was missing for me.

So what were your disappointments? Did you have any at all? Was it exactly what you were expecting? Or was it better than you expected? Discuss and as usual, stay awesome Polynauts!
