So, I know I'm late to the game with the 7th generation. I've only owned a 360 since last December, and am only now playing my second major game for it (Assasin's Creed, to be specific).
When I started playing the game last night, I was honestly astonished at how good it actually looked. One of the best looking things I've ever seen, and it's on a console that's on its way out, and is the inferior console power-wise, at that. Maybe I'm just a horrible gamer or something, but even looking forward at the previews for the newer games, they don't really look THAT much better to me.
Looking back at that, I have to ask: Why do people care so much about the specs and "graphics" on the new consoles?
If games really look as good as they do on the current consoles, what difference does it make between the Xbox One and the PS4? Both of their current gen siblings already look absolutely amazing. You could essentially ramp down the power of the Xbox One all the way down to the 360 specs, and they would STILL look amazing.
So, what's the problem here?
