The premise for the game is as fantastical as any from the show: Rambunctious child adventurer Finn and his shape-shifting dog/brother Jake awake to find that someone has stolen all of the garbage from their yard. They decide to track down the Ice King, a trash-talking (and -stealing) villain who wants to use all of the garbage from the Land of Ooo to build a Garbage Princess. The plot may be absurd, but Ward's smart writing and use of gaming cliches as inside jokes make story one of the highlights of the game. Adventure Time: Explore the Dungeon because I Don't Know! is getting three new playable characters on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 starting today. These include Peppermint Butler which is already available on Steam, Gunter and King of Mars. The DLC will become available for Wii U on Dec. 19 and on Windows PC on Jan. 2, with each character costing $1.99. Developed by WayForward, Adventure Time: Explore the Dungeon Because I Don't Know! released in the fall. The game is a follow up to Adventure Time: Hey Ice King! Why'd You Steal Our Garbage?!, released on 3DS last year.

D3 Publisher has released a new multiplayer gameplay trailer for its upcoming multiplatform title Adventure Time: Explore the Dungeon Because I Don't Know! which offers a closer look at the numerous characters, voice acting and gameplay options available. The Diablo-inspired dungeon crawler will support four-player co-op and will include more than 100 dungeons to explore in the Secret Royal Dungeon underneath the Land of Ooo. The Collector's Edition of Adventure Time: Explore the Dungeon Because I Don't Know!, will be available this fall as a Nintendo 3DS exclusive for $39.95, D3 Publisher announced today. The Collector's Edition consists of a SteelBook case, a "Finn and Jake's Dungeon Guide," a DVD featuring actor interviews, along with storyboard art from Adventure Time creator Pendleton Ward. The Wii U version of the game features Beemo on the GamePad, who will offer game tips, boss hints, enemy weaknesses and commentary throughout the game with more than 300 different voice clips. In the 3DS version, Beemo appears on the Touch Screen and will also offer tips and commentary. D3Publisher is working on video games based on Cartoon Network's Regular Show through a new publishing agreement, the companies announced, with the first launching later this year. The show's creator, James Garland "J. G." Quintel, tweeted his excitement that the first video game is scheduled for release this year. "Duuudes. A for real Regular Show video game is coming out this year! Like, for real for real. And It's gonna be awesome," Quintel tweeted. The soundtrack for Adventure Time: Hey Ice King! Why'd you steal our garbage?!! is free to stream from SoundCloud, according to a press release from D3 Publisher. The SoundCloud page includes 34 tracks lasting over an hour and 20 minutes. Composer Jake Kaufman includes titles like "Chillin with My Bro," "The Goose Chase Jam" and "Cotton Candy Up In Here." Adventure Time: Hey Ice King! Why'd you steal our garbage?!!, Wayforward Technologies' 3DS game written by the cartoon's creator Pendleton Ward, is on its way to the 3DS eShop in demo form, according to a press release from D3 Publisher. Pendleton Ward loves video games. He also loves drawing. His greatest success, at least so far, happened when he put the two together and created an animated television series called Adventure Time. It's a show about Finn, a 14-year-old boy, his talking, stretching, magical dog of a friend Jake and their adventures in the colorful, post-apocalyptic Land of Ooo. Now the show, inspired by a heady mix of gaming, Dungeons and Dragons and indie comics, is getting its own video game. But it's not exactly what Ward originally had in mind. Nintendo's PAX Prime presence will focus on the Wii U and 3DS with several games on each platform, along with a few special events for fans, the company announced today.
