Shadow of the Colossus goes free on PS Plus tomorrow

The high-definition upscaled version of Shadow of the Colossus will become free to PlayStation Plus subscribers in North America as of tomorrow, Oct. 8, publisher Sony Computer Entertainment announced today. It is the second PS Plus game of the month, following Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning. Other games scheduled to join the Instant Game Collection in October include Hotline Miami and Poker Night 2. In addition, Saints Row: The Third will leave the Instant Game Collection on Oct. 15. Angry Birds Trilogy coming to Wii and Wii U on Aug. 13

The Angry Birds Trilogy is slated to hit Wii and Wii U systems on Aug. 13 in North America, publisher Activision announced. The three-game package includes Angry Birds, Angry Birds: Seasons and Angry Birds: Rio. In total, Angry Birds Trilogy will feature roughly 140 hours of gameplay and 30 episodes on disc, including new levels. Additionally, the Wii U edition will allow for Gamepad and TV swap gameplay, touch screen controls and online leaderboards. In February, developer Rovio Entertainment announced the trilogy would come to Wii and Wii U sometime later in the year. The title launched last September for Xbox 360 with Kinect support, on PlayStation 3 with Move support and on Nintendo 3DS.


Angry Birds Trilogy Fowl Tempered DLC out now, adds 135 levels and bubbly Pink Bird

The next add-on content pack for Angry Birds Trilogy, Fowl Tempered, is available today for both Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of the game. Fowl Tempered adds 135 new stages and gives players access to Stella the Pink Bird, who can trap enemies in pink bubbles and whisk them away after she takes flight. Angry Birds Trilogy sells more than one million copies, Wii and Wii U versions coming this year

Angry Birds Trilogy has sold over one million copies worldwide and will be published to Wii and Wii U later this year, developer Rovio Entertainment and publisher Activision announced today. Angry Birds Trilogy launched last September for Xbox 360 with Kinect integration, PlayStation 3 with Move support and Nintendo 3DS. The title is a compilation of three of the series' games — Angry Birds, Angry Birds Seasons and Angry Birds Rio — with additional levels, features and new interactive backgrounds and animations. Recently Rovio released the Anger Management DLC pack for the PS3 version, which adds 150 more puzzles. Angry Birds Trilogy Anger Management Pack released on PSN today with new levels, cutscenes and Orange Bird

Angry Birds Trilogy's first DLC, The Anger Management Pack, is available today bringing several features to the PlayStation 3 version of Rovio's bird slingshot simulator, according to a post on the PlayStation Blog by Matt Hohl, a producer at Activision Publishing. The $4.99 DLC adds 130 levels culled from Angry Birds and Angry Birds Seasons episodes, as well as cutscenes and trophies. Anger Management also includes a new character, Orange Bird, whose power allows the itty-bitty bird to blow up like a balloon. Best Buy offering buy two, get one free on select 3DS games

Best Buy is currently offering a buy two, get one free sale including eight titles for the Nintendo 3DS, the company announced on its website. Titles include Paper Mario: Sticker Star, Rayman Origins, Activision's The Trash Pack, Angry Birds Trilogy, FIFA Soccer 13, Mario Kart 7, New Super Mario Bros. 2 and Disney's Wreck-It Ralph. The third free game must be of equal or lesser value to the other two games, according to promotion. The promotion also cannot be combined with other Best Buy offers or coupons. It should be noted that all three Mario titles are $39.99 each, while the remaining five are $29.99 each.


'Angry Birds Trilogy' coming to Xbox 360, PS3, 3DS

Angry Birds Trilogy is coming to Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and 3DS this holiday season, developer Rovio announced today. The physics-based revenge franchise will see its first retail release as a collection of Angry Birds, Angry Birds Seasons, and Angry Birds Rio. Rovio calls it "the ultimate collector's edition," but has not yet announced pricing. The company previously confirmed a 3DS release for 2012, and the original Angry Birds launched on the PlayStation Network in January 2011.
