Another World, also known as Out Of This World, is available this weekend at a discounted price of $0.99 for Android, developer DotEmu announced via press release. The sale is a celebration of the game's 20th anniversary and recent release on Windows PC and Mac via Steam. The action adventure title originally launched in 1991 and has since become a cult classic. The Android 20th anniversary edition includes several platform-specific features. Players can switch between HD and classic graphics by sliding two fingers across the screen and use new touch controls. The game features three difficulty modes, five language options and 10 achievements. Another World is available through Google Play.

The 20th anniversary edition of Éric Chahi's classic action-adventure title Another World is on Steam for Windows PC and Mac for $9.99. Another World's Steam integration includes 13 achievements, and touts cloud saves and full controller support using Steam's Big Picture. Along with a few extras such as a development diary, technical handbook and making of video, the anniversary edition features overhauled HD graphics and remastered audio. The game was first released in 1991 and a 15th anniversary edition launched in 2006 for Windows PC. The 20th anniversary edition was previously made available in 2011 for iOS and Android, and on BlackBerry's AppWorld for $4.99 in February of this year.

The 20th anniversary edition of classic retro title Another World is coming to BlackBerry 10 OS, publisher Dotemu announced today. The anniversary edition, which was previously made available for iOS devices in 2011, allows players to switch between retro and updated graphics, and provides both the original and remastered soundtrack of the game. In addition to this, updated touchscreen controls are available, as well as three difficulty modes. This edition of Another World is now available on BlackBerry's AppWorld for $4.99.

French gaming company DotEmu, which provides retro game titles on mobile, PC and more, is discounting select Android games on Google Play today through Dec. 27. Raiden Legacy, the four-title compilation of the 1990s sidescrolling shooter arcade series, has dropped from it's original $4.99 price tag to $2.99. Legacy includes Raiden, Raiden Fighters, Raiden Fighers 2 and Raiden Fighters Jet. Also included in the holiday sale is Another World 20th Anniversary Edition, priced at $0.99, and R-Type, also $0.99. Another World, also known as Out Of This World, is a platforming action-adventure game about a young scientist trapped on a dangerous alien world.
