Assassin's Creed: Liberation HD presented Ubisoft with an opportunity to fix the mistakes that dragged down the original PS Vita version of the game — to wring out more of the promise that existed in an often broken and frustrating experience. Assassin's Creed Liberation HD hitting XBLA on Jan. 15

The Xbox 360 version of Assassin's Creed Liberation HD will launch through Xbox Live Arcade on Jan. 15, 2014, Ubisoft UK confirmed today in a tweet. Assassin's Creed: Liberation HD hitting PC Jan. 15, Xbox 360 early 2014

Assassin's Creed: Liberation HD will launch for Windows PC on Jan. 15 and for Xbox 360 in early 2014, Ubisoft announced today. The title, a remastered upgrade of the original 2012 PlayStation Vita title, will be available digitally for $19.99. The game will be available on Jan. 14 for PlayStation 3. According to a press release from Ubisoft, players who purchase the Season Pass for upcoming title Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag will receive $5 off a copy of Liberation HD. In Assassin's Creed: Liberation, players control half French, half African-American Aveline — the series first female assassin — on her own assassin adventure, trekking through18th century New Orleans and exploring Mayan Ruins. Assassin's Creed: Liberation HD, a console remake of the 2012 PlayStation Vita Liberation game, has been given a release date on PlayStation 3 of Jan. 14. Posting on PlayStation Blog today Ubisoft Sofia producer Momchil Valentinov Gindyanov stated that the team had set out to "improve upon what worked on the Vita and adapt the gameplay and missions to be the most fun and enjoyable they could be." Liberation on Vita, featuring female African-French assassin Aveline de Grandpré, launched in 2012 as an accompaniment to Assassin's Creed 3 for consoles. Assassin's Creed Liberation HD coming to PS3, 360 and PC

Ubisoft is bringing Assassin's Creed 3: Liberation — originally a PS Vita title — to Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Windows PC soon with an HD remake. The game, which drops the number three from its title, will feature the same story, character and setting as the PS Vita game but, according to associate producer Momchil Gindyanov, everything else has changed.
