Four titles in Gaijin Games indie platforming series Bit.Trip are currently on sale 75 percent off through Steam. The Bit.Trip series stars Commander Video, a pixilated hero who dashes through retro-styled worlds. Bit.Trip Collection 2012 includes Bit.Trip Beat, Bit.Trip Runner, Bit.Trip Core and Bit.Trip Void, as well as soundtracks for each. All four games are available individually for $2.49, and each soundtrack can be picked up for $5.99. Every game in the sale is available on both Windows PC and Mac. The Bit.Trip Collection 2012 sale ends May 20. Those who purchase the bundle will save a total of $21.94 off the cost of each individual game. The Game Music Bundle is offering six Bit.Trip soundtracks with a $20 Steam pre-order for 2D sidescrolling platformer Bit.Trip Presents Runner 2: Future Legend of Rhythm Alien. Runner 2 is a direct sequel to Bit.Trip Runner and continues the adventures of Commander Video. Bundle buyers have a "pay what you want" option for the Bit.Trip Beat, Bit.Trip Runner, Bit.Trip Core, Bit.Trip Fate, Bit.Trip Void and Bit.Trip Flux soundtracks. For a $1, a buyer gets all six soundtracks, while $10 will add the Runner 2 soundtrack. Bit.Trip Presents Runner 2: Future Legend of Rhythm Alien will be available Feb. 26 for $14.99. The game is being developed for Windows PC, Mac, Linux, PlayStation Network, Xbox Live Arcade and Wii U's Nintendo eShop.

Bit.Trip Saga, a compilation of developer Gaijin Games' Atari-styled Bit.Trip games, will be available for eShop on Dec. 20 for $14.99, Siliconera reports. Saga is comprised of six titles for the Nintendo 3DS: Bit.Trip Beat, Bit.Trip Core, Bit.Trip Void, Bit.Trip Runner, Bit.Trip Fate and Bit.Trip Flux. The collection first launched on WiiWare before a 3DS release in 2011, priced at $40. The Bit.Trip series features a pixilated character named Commander Video in a variety of play styles, from Runner's platforming to Beat's Pong-inspired mechanics. Each game features Atari-inspired graphics and a chiptune soundtrack. A stand-alone copy of Bit.Trip Runner is currently part of Indie Royale's Winter Bundle.
Humble Indie Bundle 6 adds four bonus games

The Humble Indie Bundle 6, a compilation of games sold at a price of your choosing, has added four bonus games and their soundtracks to the mix. Purchasers who pay more than the average selling price — $5.90 as of this writing — will receive Bit.Trip Runner, Wizorb, Jamestown, and Gratuitous Space Battles, in addition to the titles that debuted with the bundle last week. The Humble Indie Bundle 6, which offers DRM-free versions of each game on PC, Mac, and Linux, also includes the soundtracks for all but one game, Vessel. For an additional $1, you can purchase a key to unlock the games on Steam with a code provided in addition to the DRM-free downloads. You can check out trailers for the four bonus games below.
'Runner 2' headed to Wii U

Runner 2, Gaijin Games HD sequel to Bit. Trip Runner, will also be coming to the Wii U when it hits the PS3 and Xbox 360 later this year, the developers said today. Bit.Trip Runner had players take control of Commander Video as they maneuver through the 2D platformer world. The sequel, Bit. Trip Presents Runner 2: Future Legend of Rhythm Alien, will include GamePad support, music by chiptune artist Disasterpeace, ten playable characters including CommandgirlVideo, Unkle Dill and Whetfahrt Cheeseborger, more then ten new gameplay abilities and unlockable costumes, according to the press official website.
