Castlevania: Lords of Shadow - Mirror of Fate focuses partly on Simon Belmont's quest to avenge his parents' deaths, and a new trailer from publisher Konami illustrates a step on his path.
The brief trailer consists primarily of an eerie cutscene in which Belmont comes across what appears to be a spectral being standing in his way. The being eventually disappears, and then we see some footage of Belmont in combat.
Castlevania: Lords of Shadow - Mirror of Fate launches March 5 on Nintendo 3DS. A demo will be available Feb. 28 in the 3DS eShop.
The latest trailer for Castlevania: Lords of Shadow - Mirror of Fate gives a closer look at the obstacles players must tackle when it hits Nintendo 3DS in March.
In addition to teasing the title's 20-hour storyline, the video above features a brief look at how players can whip enemies into shape, showing the various moves for taking down undead and supernatural beings standing in the way of your goal. The trailer also shows brief clips of the game's platforming sections, as well as a sneak peek of what lies behind the stone walls of Dracula's castle.
Castlevania: Lords of Shadow - Mirror of Fate will be available on March 5 in North America and March 8 in Europe.

A new trailer released for Halloween — almost an obligation for a Castlevania game — shows an improved-looking Castlevania: Lords of Shadow - Mirror of Fate featuring the Belmont brothers doing battle against Dracula's minions, whipping to and from platforms and working out some family issues.
Mirror of Fate is bound for Nintendo 3DS in early 2013, Konami says. The portable Castlevania, which takes place 24 years after the original Lords of Shadow, serves as a precursor to Mercurysteam's Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2, coming to PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Windows PC.
