The Oberkommando West is one of two $12.99 packs being offered in Company of Heroes 2: The Western Front Armies, a forthcoming DLC release from publisher Sega. Profiled in one of two trailers released today (above), the German army is "battle hardened and newly equipped ... a resurgent and very dangerous foe," according to developer Relic. Oberkommando West's mission is to defend Germany from U.S. attack, in a simulation of the Battle of Hurtgen Forest during World War II. The other video (below) focuses on U.S. forces, led by General Dwight D. Eisenhower. Fatigued following the rapid advance from Germany, they must overcome a tough enemy and uncompromising terrain. The Western Front Armies, a standalone multiplayer expansion for Relic Entertainment's real-time strategy game Company of Heroes 2, will launch June 24 for $19.99, publisher Sega announced today. Sega also revealed that those who pre-order The Western Front Armies will receive a unique vehicle skin for each of the two factions, the U.S. Forces and the German Oberkommando West, as well as matching faceplates. Each army will also be available to purchase individually for $12.99. You can see both in battle in the trailer above. As the name implies, the expansion will bring players back to the setting of the first Company of Heroes. Company of Heroes 2 players will be able to buy new content called "Victory at Stalingrad" for the game's Theater of War mode Nov. 12, the studio announced today. Launching alongside a previously announced free expansion, Turning Point, the "Victory at Stalingrad" DLC mini-pack comes with a co-op Scenario, Kalach Pincer; two Solo Challenges, Tatsinskaya Raid and Bridge Defense; and three AI Battles: Winter Storm, Stalingrad Resistance and Stalingrad Encirclement. "Victory at Stalingrad" will cost $9.99, although players can pre-order it on Steam for $8.99, a 10 percent discount. A trailer for the DLC is available above.

Turning Point, a free expansion for Relic Entertainment's real-time strategy game Company of Heroes 2, will be released Nov. 12, the developer revealed today. Turning Point will include two new multiplayer maps, Rails & Metal, which is designed for 2-4 players, and Lazur Factor, which is designed for 6-8 players. It will also introduce the World Builder, which will allow players to create maps, four new multiplayer commanders and public chat lobbies. Relic Entertainment will be livestreaming Turning Point content this Friday on its official Twitch.tv channel.
