Don't worry Germany, this Company of Heroes 2 expansion makes no political judgments

The next expansion for Company of Heroes 2, a stand-alone campaign called Ardennes Assault, will allow players to take control of U.S. army forces during a Battle of the Bulge siege against a resurgent German army - but developer Relic Entertainment maintains despite its political basis in history the game remains entirely apolitical in its treatment of the opposing German forces. Profiled in one of two trailers released today (above), the German army is "battle hardened and newly equipped ... a resurgent and very dangerous foe," according to developer Relic. Oberkommando West's mission is to defend Germany from U.S. attack, in a simulation of the Battle of Hurtgen Forest during World War II. The other video (below) focuses on U.S. forces, led by General Dwight D. Eisenhower. Fatigued following the rapid advance from Germany, they must overcome a tough enemy and uncompromising terrain. Company of Heroes 2: The Western Front Armies arrives on Windows PC on June 24. The two packs can be bought together...
