Level-5 to release upgraded, online-enhanced version of Fantasy Life

Level-5's Fantasy Life 3DS RPG sells out in Japan

Fantasy Life, developer Level-5's recently released role-playing game for Nintendo 3DS, has sold out in Japan, according to an update on the developer's website. On its website, the Professor Layton and Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch developer thanks fans for the interest and says that the company hopes to ship more cartridges soon. The game is also available as a download in the 3DS eShop. Level-5 released the open-world RPG in Japan on Dec. 27. In an interview with Japanese magazine Famitsu last month, studio head Akihiro Hino said that the developers spent three years on the project, and only transitioned to 3D about two years ago. To get a sense of the game you can't buy in Japan, you can check out a trailer for Fantasy Life that Level-5 released last November here.
