Limbo on PS Vita won't feature touch controls

The PS Vita release of Limbo will be a straight port and won't feature the handheld device's touch controls, Playdead CEO Dino Patti told Eurogamer. According to Patti, incorporating touch controls did not feel like the right move for the game; instead, the developers chose to recreate the original title's experience and market the game to new players. "We're not using any touch. We didn't feel it would suit Limbo at all," he explained. "It would feel like a patch if we did it. And we really like the original experience. 320 GB PlayStation 3 with one year of PlayStation Plus discounted to $249.99 on Amazon

Sony's current-generation console is springing out of Amazon's Gold Box of daily deals today, with a $50 price cut to $249.99 on the 320 GB PlayStation 3 "slim" — the first redesign, not the top-loading 2012 model — that's bundled with a one-year subscription to PlayStation Plus. That membership allows Sony to market the console as being bundled with digital versions of LittleBigPlanet 2, Infamous 2 and Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One, since those full games are part of the PlayStation Plus Instant Game Collection. For December, Sony added Batman: Arkham City, Limbo and Vanquish to the service. A PlayStation Plus membership also offers subscribers greater discounts in the PlayStation Store, both when Sony is and isn't running sales.

Yuji Naka's missing Wii game 'Rodea the Sky Soldier' still in limbo

Former Sonic Team leader Yuji Naka, founder of studio Prope, says his company completed work on its Wii game Rodea the Sky Soldier last year, but he has no idea when — or if — it will ever come out. With the Wii U coming out later this year, Naka seems concerned about the fate of his company's still-to-be-released Wii game, which has no release date and no publisher outside of Japan. Polygon spoke with Naka at Proper earlier this week, inquiring about the fate of Rodea the Sky Soldier, which was officially announced in 2011 for the Wii and Nintendo 3DS. "I want to ask the same question!" Naka said. "We have finished developing the Wii version and we have already submitted it. That was around a year ago. But it seems like they are still considering the [details of] the 3DS...

Crimson Dragon for Xbox Live Arcade, a Kinect-controlled rail shooter and spiritual successor to Sega's classic Panzer Dragoon series, is still in limbo, but spin-off side-scroller Crimson Dragon: Side Story will be available for Windows Phone on September 12th. Side Story utilizes the touchscreen to control dragons, maneuvering through and attacking enemies. The game features both Story and Mission Modes, the latter including more difficult stages and a boss-rush mode. Players can breed new types of dragons, level them up, and customize their move sets with over 170 abilities unlockable in the game. Skills can be "awakened" in dragons by using jewels, attainable through gameplay, purchase, and by using the game's location service that tracks the physical distance players travel each...
