With DualShock 4 controllers now appearing on retail shelves, gamers are getting to grips with figuring out which PlayStation 3 games work with the new controller. A Reddit thread has been opened to handle the issue, offering an initial list of games. Users are being invited to add to the list. "I just got my DualShock 4 today, and have noticed some games work, and some don't," wrote thread organizer Lapwner. "So, let's try to create a list so people can see which games work and which games don't. Note that the motion sensing does not work, so even though some games work with the controller, if they are reliant on the motion sensing, then they probably aren't worth playing it with." The current list of compatible games includes: Working Call of Duty (MW2, MW3, Black Ops, Black Ops...

The Nightmare Before Christmas Level Kit and Costume Pack are headed to LittleBigPlanet 2 and LittleBigPlanet PS Vita next week, LittleBigPlanet community coordinator Steven Isbell revealed today on the PlayStation Blog. Just in time for Halloween, players will be able to hang out in a Halloween Town-inspired level and dress up their Sackboys as characters like Jack Skellington and Sally from The Nightmare Before Christmas. According to Isbell's response to a question in the blog post's comments, both the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita versions will contain "the same creation goodies, but each level is its own unique trip to Halloween Town with the PS Vita version including some unique touch-based gameplay just for the PS Vita." The LittleBigPlanet appearance is the second for The...

That applies to the standard Wi-Fi model, which regularly costs $249, but there's an even better deal: The launch bundle with the 3G model, which usually costs $299, is also on sale for $199.99. That bundle comes with a 3G-enabled PS Vita, an 8 GB memory card and a promo code good for 250 MB of data on the 3G network that AT&T provides for the handheld. The LittleBigPlanet community has now created more than 8 million levels across all the games in the series, said franchise creator developer Media Molecule yesterday. The milestone comes less than one year after the total number of levels reached 7 million, which happened last August, although the pace of growth has slowed — the community went from 6 million to 7 million levels between January and August 2012, a span of less than eight months. According to Steven Isbell, community coordinator for LittleBigPlanet, the series' next major landmark is its five-year anniversary this October. The release of the original LittleBigPlanet on PlayStation 3 in October 2008 kicked off the franchise, which continued with LittleBigPlanet on PlayStation Portable in November 2009, LittleBigPlanet...

LittleBigPlanet developer Media Molecule showed off the PlayStation 4's tech capabilities today in a demo that uses the PlayStation Move controller to create digital sculptures and puppetry. In the demo, shown at the PlayStation Meeting event in New York, Media Molecule's Alex Evans showed how the Move motion controller can be used with the PS4 to sketch and doodle as well as sculpt 3D objects. The Move controller tracks every move the player makes, and "makes 3D sculpting easy for beginners and deep for advanced creators," he said. Players will also be able to create collage sets using objects that others have made. "Just hold your controller and click to assemble your dream." The demo also showed two players holding Move controllers manoeuvring sculptures to make them dance and play...
