FIFA 14, this year's installment of Electronic Arts' soccer franchise, will not be released for Wii U because sales of FIFA 13 were "disappointing," a representative from EA told Eurogamer. "Six months ago FIFA 13 was a launch title on Wii U," the representative said. "Although the game featured FIFA's award-winning HD gameplay and innovative new ways to play, the commercial results were disappointing. We have decided not to develop FIFA 14 on Wii U." EA published several games for Wii U after its launch last November, including FIFA 13 and Madden NFL 13. Electronic Arts isn't currently developing any games for the Wii U, EA spokesperson Jeff Brown told Kotaku. EA published several games for Nintendo's console since its November 2012 launch, including FIFA 13, Madden NFL 13, Mass Effect 3: Special Edition and Need for Speed Most Wanted, but its studios have nothing in the pipeline right now. "We have no games in development for the Wii U currently," Brown said, but he didn't rule out future Wii U development, according to Kotaku. The Xbox 360 version of NCAA Football 14, the upcoming installment in EA Tiburon's college football franchise, will include Kinect commands in offline modes, a representative from EA told Polygon. EA informed Joystiq this morning that the game would have Kinect functionality similar to its implementation in the Madden series. Polygon reached out to EA and received a statement confirming the Kinect commands. "Functionality will be similar to what we did in Madden NFL 13 last year, and will focus on pre-play voice commands for things like audibles, hurry-up offense, etc.," the representative said. Electronic Arts' annual Madden NFL simulation of the Super Bowl was right once again this year: Madden NFL 13's forecast of a Baltimore Ravens victory over the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl XLVII turned out to be correct. The football franchise has now correctly predicted the winner of eight out of the last 10 Super Bowls. In Madden NFL 13's simulation, the Ravens upset the 49ers — who were favored by four points — with a three-point victory, 27-24. That was the exact margin of victory in the real game last night, which the Ravens won 34-31. Madden 13 also picked the real-life winner of the MVP award, Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco. This week's Xbox Live deal consists of a $10 discount on four 2012 EA Sports titles: Madden NFL 13, FIFA 13, NHL 13 and NCAA Football 13. The offer is available only to Xbox Live Gold members and applies to the Games on Demand versions of the games in question. They regularly cost $59.99, and are available for $49.99 this week. Much better deals on the games in question were being offered during the holiday shopping season. First-person shooter fanatics will be able to get their fix by picking up Black Ops 2, Halo 4 or the DLC-bundled Battlefield 3 Premium Edition at the marked down price. The fourth patch for Madden NFL 13 is set to go live tomorrow, Nov. 29, with new features for the Ultimate Team mode and some bug fixes, reports Joystiq. Ultimate Team players will now be able to create five different lineups from their card collection. They'll also enjoy improved, "more nuanced" roster management, according to developer EA Tiburon. Player sorting by position will be more granular, while a new screen will offer an at-a-glance look at players' active boosts. In addition, Ultimate Team will now offer quick collections, which provide bonuses for completing card collections, and the option to play games with two-minute quarters.
