19 CommentsMass Effect 3: Citadel DLC launch trailer reunites the Normandy crew
By John Funk on Mar 04, 2013 03.04.13
The cast of BioWare's Mass Effect series is a beloved bunch, and EA is giving fans the chance to take one last spin with the old crew with Citadel, the final piece of DLC for last year's Mass Effect 3. This recently-released launch trailer sets up the scenario: In the middle of the Reaper War, Commander Shepard's superiors offer him (or her) a chance to relax and unwind in order to be at peak performance when needed. However, an assassination attempt on Shepard by a mysterious group means that much of Shepard's vacation will be spent ducking bullets. As BioWare's send-off to the Mass Effect trilogy, Citadel features appearances by both the Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2 casts, absent a handful of characters who were killed in Mass Effect 3 prior to the time frame of Citadel. By Michael McWhertor on Nov 26, 2012 11.26.12
Gamer Alain Poitras has accomplished a Mass Effect 3 feat that would be impressive for a player merely tackling the challenge solo. That Poitras completed a silver level challenge in the game's multiplayer mode using his mouth is far more impressive. Poitras, a quadriplegic who broke his neck in a fall 17 years ago, says he plays Mass Effect 3 using a stick to tap a keyboard and touchpad mouse. He's uploaded videos of himself playing Mass Effect 3 multiplayer on a laptop with his unique set up, sharing his latest accomplishment with the community via the BioWare forums. Despite his achievement, Poitras laments that he "missed the extraction by 1 or 2 seconds" in the gameplay video posted to YouTube. "My shields were down and I was focusing on my walking because if I had tried to...
