Two new games will join the PlayStation Plus Instant Game Collection next week, according to the PlayStation Blog: Germinator (PS Vita) and Pinball Arcade (PS3 and PS Vita, Cross-Buy enabled). On May 21, PlayStation Plus members will be able to pick up both Germinator and Pinball Arcade for free, while non-members can buy them individually for $9.99 on the PlayStation Network. As of tomorrow, the Metro: Last Light Season Pass (PS3), which is a discounted pre-payment for future Metro DLC that includes The Faction Pack, The Tower Pack, The Developer Pack and The Chronicles Pack, will also receive a 25 percent discount for PS Plus members, bringing it down to $11.24 from the regular PSN price of $14.99. Rockstar's whole Steam catalog has been marked down from 50 to 75 percent off this weekend, offering downloadable versions of L.A. Noire, the Grand Theft Auto series and more at a discount. The highlight and largest discount is a 75 percent markdown on L.A. Noire: The Complete Edition, a bundle which includes the core game and all its DLC, which has been discounted from $29.99 to $7.50. So-inclined shoppers can also pick up the game and DLC piecemeal for $5.00 and $2.99, respectively. Also on offer is the Rockstar Hits Collection, which includes L.A. Noire, Max Payne 3, Grand Theft Auto 4 and Episodes from Liberty City for $29.99, two-thirds off the regular price of $89.97. Microsoft will kick off its Xbox Live Ultimate Game Sale next Tuesday, Feb. 26, offering discounts of up to 80 percent on over 60 Xbox 360 Games on Demand, according to a post on Larry "Major Nelson" Hryb's blog. The sale will last through Monday, March 4. Major Nelson will reveal each day's deals, which are available to both Xbox Live Gold and Silver members, through his Twitter account. Amazon is "farewelling" the month of February with a game sale that slashes up to 75 percent off more than 850 games, bundles and downloadable content. The sale sees games like Max Payne 3 reduced from $39.99 to $14.99, Sleeping Dogs reduced from $39.99 to $17.49 and Deus Ex: Human Revolution cut from $19.99 to $7.49. Buyers who use the code "CAGROCKS" at checkout will receive an additional 25 percent off their purchase. The Amazon deal is available now.

Max Payne 3's final downloadable content pack, Deathmatch Made in Heaven, will release for all available platforms on Jan. 22, Rockstar Games announced via press release. Deathmatch Made in Heaven will feature both co-op and competitive modes, along with new weapons, items, bursts, achievements and tropies. The DLC will cost $9.99, or for Xbox 360 owners, 800 Microsoft points. PlayStation 3 owners in Europe, however, should expect the content on Jan. 30. Rockstar Season Pass owners will get Deathmatch Made in Heaven for free. Max Payne 3 released on May 15, 2012.

The 4th annual Machinima Inside Gaming Awards took place yesterday in Hollywood, Calif., with Halo 4, Fez and Mass Effect 3 sweeping the largest number of the 17 available awards, according to a recent press release. The award show streamed live through MachinimaLive.com. 343 Industries's Halo 4 won Game of the Year, Best Competitive Multiplayer and Best Sound Design, while Polytron's puzzle platformer, Fez, landed two awards with Best Original Score and Best Indie Game. Mass Effect 3, BioWare's title, won two awards as well for Best Co-Operative Multiplayer and Best Game Cinematography.
