Medal of Honor Warfighter developer Danger Close will release a map pack tied to the upcoming film Zero Dark Thirty in mid-December, and the studio discussed the process of fictionalizing Pakistani locales for the multiplayer maps in a video released today.
Art director Chris Salazar explained that the studio had to rely on images and footage of the areas in question — the Darra Gun Market and a region called Chitral — since the developers couldn't visit the places themselves. After doing research, artists went in and designed the scenery to fit the real-life settings, while level designers built the terrain in a way that makes the maps fun to play in multiplayer.
