Might and Magic Heroes 6, Ubisoft's turn-based strategy game, has completed maintenance and will no longer suffer from its previous issues with crashes and missing content, Ubisoft announced on its forums. The post informs readers that all fixes should be effective within a maximum of 24 hours, and that those who just activated keys will be able to access the game. "We have fixed the authorization issues for every specific version of the game," the post reads. "Your content is now unlocked, so please reboot the game in order to apply the modifications." Players started spotting problems with Might and Magic Heroes 6 following the release of patch 2.1, which is thought to have been a possible factor. Ubisoft's turn-based strategy title Might and Magic Heroes 6 is currently plagued by crashes, freezing issues and in some places missing content, according to posts on various forums devoted to the game. Players have taken to Ubisoft's official forums as well as the Steam and dedicated Heroes community forums to report the issues. These include problems launching the game, invalid game keys and the inability to save the game manually, among others. Problems are occurring across both the main game and its recently-released expansion pack, Shades of Darkness. Two weeks ago Ubisoft launched the game's patch 2.1, which may be contributing to the problems. Shades of Darkness, the upcoming standalone expansion for Might & Magic Heroes 6, will be available on Windows PCs in Europe on Feb. 28, 2013, publisher Ubisoft announced today. The expansion stars Raelag, who debuted in Might & Magic Heroes 5. It also includes a new faction called Dungeon and two new campaigns. Shades of Darkness will be sold by itself, and it will also be available in the Might & Magic Heroes 6 Complete Edition. That package will include the game and Shades of Darkness, as well as all bonus maps and items, adventure packs and the game's soundtrack.
