Muramasa Rebirth trailer slices up a storm

Muramasa Rebirth publisher Aksys Games released a new trailer for the game on the PlayStation Blog today, showing off the two protagonists and their sword-slashing skills. Rebirth is the upcoming PlayStation Vita port of Muramasa: The Demon Blade, which launched exclusively on Wii in November 2009 in North America. It was released in Japan this past March by publisher Marvelous AQL. Vanillaware, the game's developer, will deliver downloadable content for Muramasa Rebirth with four extra scenarios that include four additional playable characters and new stages. Muramasa Rebirth coming to PS Vita on June 25, collector's edition detailed

The PlayStation Vita port of Wii game Muramasa: The Demon Blade will be released on June 25 in North America, publisher Aksys Games announced today. Vanillaware's Muramasa Rebirth will also get a limited edition release aimed at Vita owners interested in personalizing their handhelds. The Muramasa Rebirth Blessing of Amitabha collector's edition will include a copy of the game, a Vita face cover and "system skin" decal from Hori, a black velvet pouch and a framed lithograph featuring as-yet-unrevealed artwork from the game. Amazon lists the collector's edition version of Muramasa Rebirth at $59.99, a $20 increase over the standard edition of the game. Japan Review Check: Gears of War: Judgment, Phantasy Star Online 2, PS Vita Muramasa

A quick look at the highlights among the games coming out in Japan this coming week, courtesy the review pages of Famitsu magazine: - Phantasy Star Online 2 (9/8/8/8, 33 points): The PS Vita version of PSO2 came out a couple weeks ago in Japan, but Famitsu published their review of the game (which is a free-to-play download, but is also available in a retail package with a wealth of gameplay bonuses) in this week's issue. Muramasa Rebirth coming to PlayStation Vita from Aksys Games

Publisher Aksys Games announced it plans to bring the updated PlayStation Vita port of Vanillaware's 2D role-playing game Muramasa: The Demon Blade to North America as Muramasa Rebirth. Developer Marvelous AQL announced it would bring Muramasa: The Demon Blade, originally released for Wii in 2009, to PS Vita at last year's Tokyo Game Show. The Japanese version is planned for release on March 28, but the North American localization does not yet have a confirmed release date. Muramasa for Vita will receive four additional playable characters through downloadable content and "a complete relocalization in English," according to Aksys. A side-scrolling action RPG, Muramasa: The Demon Blade was originally published in North America by Ignition Entertainment to largely positive reviews.
