Mane6 will receive a free Skullgirls engine license to use in Fighting is Magic now that Lab Zero Games' Skullgirls IndieGoGo campaign surpassed $725,000. "Give us a bit to get out of our lack-of-words-at-the-awesomess-that-is-you-guys and we'll post something wordier =3 [sic]," Mane6 recently posted on its website. Lab Zero Games announced their intention to donate the engine earlier this month. The Skullgirls campaign ended just hours ago and has received a total of $829,829 in pledges, surpassing their initial goal of $150,000 Skullgirls will now feature five DLC characters thanks to its "Keep Skullgirls Growing Campaign." Gameloft reported record third quarter sales of €55.4 million ($70.8 million) today, an increase of 37 percent year-over-year, crediting "massive success of Gameloft games on smartphones and tablets." Q3 revenue from smartphone and tablet devices represented 56 percent of the company's total sales. The publisher attributes its strong growth on mobile platforms to the success of "freemium and paymium" models, which Gameloft instituted in March 2011. According to a news release from Gameloft, 60 percent of the company's smartphone revenue comes from in-app purchases and advertising. During the quarter, Gameloft released a handful of new titles for iOS and Android, including Cosmic Colony, The Dark Knight Rises and Monster Life.
