The latest trailer release of Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge offers a look at the combat styles of playable characters within the game, including Ayane, Momigy and Kasumi of Dead or Alive 5.
The upcoming title from publisher Tecmo Koei is scheduled to hit Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on April 2 in North America. A version for Wii U launched on Nov. 18.
Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge is an enhanced port of the original Ninja Gaiden 3, featuring all downloadable content from the original game in addition to other improvements.
At Tokyo Game Show, Ninja Gaiden developer Team Ninja promised free downloadable content for the Wii U version of Ninja Gaiden 3. Leading the free DLC offerings will be playable character Momiji, the shrine maiden who first appeared in Ninja Gaiden: Dragon Sword.
Momiji will be available as a free download in December, Nintendo says. She'll be playable in Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge in the game's Challenge Mode and Ninja Trials mode. First gameplay footage of Momiji slaying scores of enemies while wearing a variety of outfits can be seen in the trailer above.
At least one more playable character and new "Ninja Skills" will be available for free in a future downloadable update, Nintendo and Team Ninja promise.
