Sony Computer Entertainment America is continuing its PlayStation Vita anniversary sale with four free games for PlayStation Vita and up to 50 percent discount for several others, the company announced via the PlayStation Blog. PlayStation Vita owners can pick up Wild Arms, Patapon, Piyotama and Patchwork Heroes March 5-11. Oddworld Inhabitants is currently holding a poll to help decide what project the team should work on after the completion of Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee New 'n' Tasty. There are 10 different options for pollers to choose from, including Oddworld Abe's Exoddus HD, Oddworld: The Hand of Odd, Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath 2 and "something on mobile." At the time of this posting, a completely new Oddworld game leads the poll with 27 percent of the vote. Oddworld: Abe's Exoddus HD is a close second with 26 percent. Oddworld Inhabitants added that there are several factors that will be taken into consideration and that the poll is to find out what concept excites fans the most. Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee HD, the upcoming PlayStation 3 remake of the original Xbox's cooperative platformer, is slated for a "late December" release in North America, according to an update posted today on Oddworld Inhabitants' website. The downloadable game, which will cost $9.99 stateside, will release Dec. 19 in the European PlayStation Store. Oddworld Inhabitants recently announced via Facebook that the PlayStation Vita version of Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath HD will release on Dec. 18 in North America. Today's announcement revealed a European release date of Dec. 19 and set the price of the first-person shooter, released first in 2005 for the original Xbox, at $14.99. Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath HD will release for PlayStation Vita on Dec. 18, according to a post from the Oddworld Inhabitants Facebook page. The European release will be announced following approval from Sony Computer Entertainment Europe. Stranger's Wrath HD was originally expected in mid-to-late November, pending final touches and a pass through Sony's quality assurance. Additionally, according to an earlier Facebook post, Munch's Oddysee HD for the PlayStation 3 has received approval from Sony Europe. Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath HD is coming to PlayStation Vita early or mid-November "at the latest," developer Just Add Water CEO Stewart Gilray said in a recent interview with Eurogamer. The Vita version of the hi-def upgrade of Stranger's Wrath is two weeks away from being ready for submission to Sony, Gilray said. Stranger's Wrath HD was published to PC in 2010 and PlayStation 3 in 2011. Oddworld Stranger's Wrath HD received Move support and several other new features today in a free update, according to a press release from developer Just Add Water. In addition to Move support, which allows players to use Move controllers like a crossbow, the update also includes 3DTV support, in-game video recording that can be watched on the XMB or uploaded to YouTube, new video settings, updates and fixes for audio, and quick save enhancements.
