Peggle 2 coming to Xbox One in December

PopCap's casual puzzle game, Peggle 2, will launch on the Xbox One in December, PopCap senior director of PR Garth Chouteau told GamesBeat. "Peggle 2 is a ‘launch timeframe' title," Chouteau told GamesBeat. "But [it] will not launch day-and-date with the Xbox One — instead, it will become available a few weeks later in December."Following its reveal during the Electronic Arts E3 2013 press conference, Microsoft's Phil Spencer announced in August that Peggle 2 and Plants Vs. 'Plants vs. Zombies' developer PopCap confirms layoffs, reevaluation of Dublin studio

PopCap Games today laid off about 50 people from their North American offices and are reexamining the future of their Dublin team, studio co-founder John Vechey announced today. The news comes the day after the company announced the much-anticipated sequel to Plants vs. Zombies, an irony noted in Vechey's blog post about the job cuts. "We've made hard decisions before, even had cuts before – at this time in North America there are about 50 people who will no longer work at PopCap," Vechy said. "We've hired aggressively this past year and PopCap is still growing. Even with the cuts we expect to end the year with roughly the same number of people we started with." 'Zen Pinball 2' and PopCap table set for September release

Zen Pinball 2 is set for a September 4th release on PlayStation 3 and Vita alongside a new table based on a PopCap game, according to a press release from developer Zen Studios. Zen Pinball 2 will be available as a standalone product and as a free update for existing Zen Pinball and Marvel Pinball owners. Its 26 tables will have trophies tailored to each, and all will be will be free-to-play in a demo. 'Peggle' goes on show at Pacific Pinball Museum

PopCap's Peggle is being featured in a pinball exhibition at the Pacific Pinball Museum in Alameda, California, through to September. The popular casual game is being shown on computers alongside vintage pinball machines and pachinko machines. "It's no big secret that PopCap's Peggle was at least partially inspired by Japanese pachinko machines, but it is an honor nevertheless that the Pacific Pinball Museum... has chosen to include Peggle in a new exhibit," PopCap wrote on their blog. 'Solitaire Blitz' and 'PvZ Presents: Talking Zombatar' coming to smartphones and tablets

Solitaire Blitz and PvZ Presents: Talking Zombatar are coming to mobile devices later this year as free-to-play apps, developer PopCap announced today. Both free-to-play apps will feature in-game purchases that players can earn either by playing the games or buying with actual earth bucks. 13 PSP and Mini titles coming to PS Vita today

An influx of PSP titles and Minis is now available for the PS Vita, with additional games available in the PS Store at a later date. Starting today users can purchase PSP titles Cho Aniki Zero, Strikers 1945 Plus, Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter 2, Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas, Valhalla Knights 2: Battle Stance and Ys: I & II Chronicles Digital.
