Pokémon Honedge created by Man at Arms

Master swordsmith Man at Arms is back, and this time he has turned his talents to creating a real life Honedge from Pokémon X / Y. Unlike many of his previous efforts, including League of Legends' Zenith Blade and Halo's Energy Sword, much of the work that went into Honedge concerns its distinctive hilt and pommel, rather than the blade. Honedge looks like a medieval sword, with an eye-like hilt centerpiece and a leather attachment.

The Pokemon Bank app for Pokemon X/Y is now available in North America's Nintendo 3DS eShop, following delays and launches in other regions. Pokemon Bank allows users to deposit, store and manage up to 3,000 Pokemon, including those from previous games. When used in combination with the Poke Transporter, players can move Pokemon from previous generations into Pokemon X/Y. Pokemon Bank was delayed from its Dec. 27 launch date after experiencing "service disruptions" on the Wii U and 3DS eShops. The application was pulled in Japan for similar problems. Pokemon Bank was released in Australia, Europe and New Zealand yesterday. Although the app is a free download, it does require a subscription. Once the 30-day trial ends, users must pay $4.99 as an annual fee. Nintendo released a d...

Pokémon Bank live in Europe, Australia and New Zealand

Nintendo relaunched the Pokémon Bank and Poké Transporter apps for Pokémon X/Pokémon Y today in Europe, Australia and New Zealand, Nintendo announced, with a free trail of the services running until March 14. Released as version 1.1, the apps require a £4.49/€4.99/$4.99 per year subscription to use once the 30-day trial expires. The recent regional releases follow the apps' relaunch in Japan and "certain Asian countries" late last month. The apps were initially released in Japan on Dec. 25 and were taken down from the Nintendo 3DS eShop a day later after excessive traffic overloaded the servers for both the 3DS and Wii U eShops. During the same period, the Nintendo Network suffered global outages attributed to linking of account balances for the two eShops. The Dec. 27 N...

The issues caused the company to delay the North American release of the Pokémon Bank and Poké Transporter apps, which was originally planned for Dec. 27. "Pokémon Bank has launched...
