By Samit Sarkar on Mar 01, 2013 03.01.13
Awakened developer Phosphor Games released an Unreal Engine 4 tech demo from the game yesterday, with the project's Kickstarter campaign nearing its end. Project Awakened, Phosphor Games' upcoming PC open-world action title which is seeking Kickstarter funding, will feature a robust modding system which is the focus of a trailer the developer released today. Using modding tools for the hero, enemies, powers and environment, players are capable of crafting any kind of world they see fit. Examples in the video include a sword-and-sorcery fantasy title, a military third-person shooter, a bizarre take on the Mario franchise, and even a reference to Genji: Days of the Blade's infamous "Giant Enemy Crab" sequence. Check out the video above. Project Awakened has 12 days left to meet its $500,000 goal on Kickstarter, and currently sits at a little over $178,000.
