Ragnarok Odyssey Ace coming to PS3 and PS Vita April 1

Ragnarok Odyssey Ace, an expanded edition of 2012 role-playing game Ragnarok Odyssey, will launch on the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita with cross-play functionality on April 1, Xseed Games announced on the PlayStation Blog. The PS3 version of the game will be available from the PlayStation Store and physical retailers for $39.99. The PS Vita version comes in two varieties: a physical limited edition featuring a CD soundtrack for $39.99, and a digital edition without the soundtrack for $34.99. Those who already own Ragnarok Odyssey will be able to import their characters to Ragnarok Odyssey Ace, after which their character can migrate between both the PS Vita and PS3 versions.


Ragnarok Odyssey ACE launching on PS3, Vita next year

Ragnarok Odyssey ACE, an expanded edition of 2012 role-playing game Ragnarok Odyssey, will launch in 2014 for PlayStation 3 and Vita, publisher Xseed Games announced today on the PlayStation Blog. Both versions will cost $39.99, and the Vita version will ship with a soundtrack CD featuring 25 tracks from the game — including a song by legendary Final Fantasy composer Nobuo Uematsu titled "Roar of the Black Dragon." Up to four players can join in co-op and the games are compatible for cross-platform play. Players with save files from the original Vita version of Ragnarok Odyssey can import their character data and DLC to ACE. Original PS Vita screen gets compared to the new re-designed system

Now you can see for yourself the difference between the original PS Vita's OLED screen and the new system's LCD screen, thanks to an image uploaded by Twitter user Hiro comparing Ragnarok Odyssey on both handheld consoles. The image below shows the currently available PS Vita above the upcoming PCH-2000 series model. The new system is 20 percent thinner and 15 percent lighter than current PS Vita models, and features a 5-inch LCD display. The re-designed PS Vita was announced earlier this week. Star Wars Pinball joins Instant Game Collection alongside new sales Aug. 20

Star Wars Pinball and Darkstalkers Chronicle: The Chaos Tower — both regularly $9.99 — will become free to PlayStation Plus subscribers with an update to the PlayStation Store tomorrow, Aug. 20. Ragnarok Odyssey Ace coming to the US and Europe for PS3 and the Vita in Winter

Marvelous Entertainment and GungHo Online Entertainment are bringing Ragnarok Odyssey Ace to North America and Europe, respectively, for the PlayStation 3 and the PlayStation Vita this winter. The new title will feature Ragnarok Odyssey's dungeons, enemies, bosses and weapons, and cross-platform play capabilities. GungHo Online Entertainment unveiled Ragnarok Odyssey Ace in this week's issue of Famitsu magazine, a follow-up to the PS Vita action RPG released Stateside by Xseed Games last October. Grasshopper Manufacture's current games in development will not be affected by GungHo acquisition

GungHo Online Entertainment's recent acquisition of Lollipop Chainsaw and Killer Is Dead developer Grasshopper Manufacture will not affect any games that are already in development, the publisher announced today. GungHo is the publisher of games like Ragnarok Online, Ragnarok Odyssey and Dokuro. Action RPG Ragnarok Odyssey comes to PlayStation Vita on October 30th

PlayStation Vita owners in North America can explore the world of action role-playing game Ragnarok Odyssey starting October 30th, publisher XSEED Games announced today. Ragnarok Odyssey, a Vita-exclusive spin-off of Korean massively multiplayer role-playing game Ragnarok Online, is developed by Game Arts, creators of the Lunar and Grandia series. Game Arts' open-world RPG take on the Ragnarok universe features real-time, action-based combat in battles between humans and giants, a specialized job system, and plenty of character customization.
