It's easy to get overwhelmed, and Full Frontal Assault's economy is lopsided in favor of the AI At the outset of Full Frontal Assault, Ratchet, Clank and series stalwart Captain Qwark have joined together to form Q-Force, a team dedicated to protecting the galaxy from alien threats. No sooner are they together than a mysterious new villain begins invading peaceful worlds. Ratchet & team hop back and forth between three different planets where they must balance defending a base against waves of enemies and pushing forward to assault the enemy stronghold and establish a more lasting planetary defense. Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault launches May 21 on PS Vita

The long-delayed PlayStation Vita version of Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault will be released May 21 on PlayStation Network, Insomniac Games announced today. Full Frontal Assault, which brings tower defense elements into the Ratchet & Clank franchise, was supposed to launch Nov. 27 simultaneously on PlayStation 3 and PS Vita. But in mid-November, publisher Sony Computer Entertainment pushed back the PS Vita release to January, saying that the port — which was developed by Tin Giant — wasn't ready. The company delayed the PS Vita version again in early February, this time to spring, saying, "We still need more time to bring the game up to the standards expected by our fans." Insomniac Games released Resistance: Fall of Man at the launch of the PlayStation 3 in November 2006. Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault Vita delayed to spring 2013, Deadlock offered free for owners of PS3 version

Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault's PlayStation Vita version has been delayed a second time to spring 2013, and owners of the PlayStation 3 version of the game will receive Ratchet & Clank: Deadlocked as compensation, according to a post on the PlayStation Blog. "Our friends at Tin Giant have been working night and day to bring Insomniac's PS3 game to the PS Vita system and to provide our fans with a great game," wrote Greg Phillips, a producer at Sony Computer Entrainment America. Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault patches bring balance and a free map

Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault, Insomniac Games' recent tower defense-infused installment of the long running series, will receive free patches that balance the game's multiplayer and add a multiplayer map, according to a post on the PlayStation Blog by community lead James Stevenson. The first patch is headed to PlayStation 3 this week and includes multiplayer balance changes based on player feedback. It will also add two new levels to Frontal Assault's weapons, allowing for further upgrades. The second patch, which is slated for early January, will bring a new multiplayer map set in Metropolis, a location that has appeared in several Ratchet & Clank games. Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault for PlayStation Vita won't make its previously announced Nov. 27 release date, Sony announced today. The Vita version of the game, also bound for PlayStation 3, is now expected in January. Sony Computer Entertainment is delaying the Vita port "in order to provide the best gameplay experience possible," SCEA producer Greg Phillips writes on the PlayStation Blog. Developer Tin Giant is handling Vita porting duties of Insomniac Games' downloadable Ratchet & Clank sequel.
