Persona 3: The Movie gets a new trailer ahead of June release

A new trailer for the film Persona 3: The Movie released this week ahead of its upcoming release to theaters in Japan on June 7. Persona 3 The Movie #2: Midsummer Knight's Dream is the sequel to Persona 3 The Movie #1: Spring of Birth. The latest film focuses on a summer vacation and members of the high school group S.E.E.S. This group will come across the battle android Aegis, as well as another group of Persona users called Strega. The first Persona 3: The Movie was released in Japan on Nov. 23, 2013. The film, which is based on the Persona 3 role-playing game, was first announced in 2012. You can watch the Japanese trailer above.

Persona 3 film gets a sequel in Japan on June 7

Last year's theatrical release Persona 3: The Movie is getting a sequel in Japan on June 7, according to a trailer for the upcoming film Persona 3 The Movie #2: A Midsummer Knight's Dream. This is the second in an unspecified number of productions from Japanese anime studio Anime International Company. The first title in the series released to cinemas on Nov. 23 last year after following its announcement the year prior. The sequel was originally teased in a post-credits sequence at the end of the Persona 3 The Movie: Chapter 1, Spring of Birth feature film. Persona 3 was released in North America in 2007 for PlayStation 2, and has since been re-released on PlayStation Network for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Portable. Persona 3 movie could span several productions

The Persona 3 movie, a film adaptation of Atlus' popular role-playing game, will be the first of an unspecified number, according to a title update on the official website. The film is now labeled Persona 3 the Movie #1, though no clarification has been provided on how many movies will be made. No other details have been given. Polygon reported on the Persona 3 movie back in June, when the film adaptation was revealed during the final scene of Persona 4 The Animation: The Factor of Hope. The movie is slated for theatrical release in 2013. Persona 3 dropped in North American in 2007 for PlayStation 2. It has since been released on PlayStation Network for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Portable.
