Silent Hunter Online enters open beta

Silent Hunter Online, Ubisoft Blue Byte's browser-based, free-to-play naval warfare strategy game, is now available through an open beta, the developer announced. In Silent Hunter Online, players command a submarine during World War II. In addition to engaging enemies in combat and managing flotillas, players will also team up with friends for multiplayer missions. According to Blue Byte, Silent Hunter Online has a "strong focus on multiplayer," and allows players to experience any mission cooperatively — a first for the series. Beta sign-ups are available through the game's website. Players could previously sign up for the closed beta in August.

He offered advice on how targets were engaged, what procedures the crew would have had to follow to fire a torpedo and verified facts, figures and additional...
