The news came in response to a question asking if there were "any chance of a wii u [sic] release with this generation coming to an end." "Right now a Wii-U [sic] release isn't looking likely," the tweet reads. "If sales pick up and they establish a digital presence it's possible, though." Skullgirls is available for consoles through Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network, and the developer recently announced Eliza, the game's third downloadable content character. 5 CommentsSkullgirls fourth DLC character is blood-controlling Eliza
By Jenna Pitcher on Apr 28, 2013 04.28.13
Lab Zero Games' Skullgirls fourth DLC fighter is Eliza, as voted by backers of the game's IndieGoGo campaign. People who backed the project were invited to vote on which fighter, of many, they would like see included on Skullgirls' roster. Eliza may have two fighting modes, for instance when the skeletal Parasite Sekhmet is inside Eliza's body, her attacks are slow, powerful; and when Eliza "anchors herself onto the Staff of Ra," Sekhmet becomes a more mobile, agile character with new abilities. "The ultimate attack-from-disadvantage character," her character concept description reads. "Because of her kinship with her parasite, Eliza can control her own blood. Each time she is hit she bleeds, MK style, and the blood stays on the stage. Certain specials and supers can then use it." H...

Slightly Different, which drops more than 300 fixes and a new training mode, was released for PlayStation Network in November 2012. The patch is passing through Microsoft certification and will go live as soon as it's approved. "If all goes well, the Skullgirls Xbox 360 patch should finally be out soon," Bartholow said. "We won't know exactly when it goes out — [Microsoft says] it'll take two weeks, but [Microsoft] actually estimated that it would likely only take one." Despite initial problems with the patch's size, Bartholow added that the update is identical to its PSN release. "Nothing was cut," Bartholow said. "The Title Update + Compatibility Pack method of...

"Paypal's freeze on our account is making it so that I can't pay people today," he wrote. "I sent them all the documentation they asked for last night, hoping it would be resolved today, but didn't hear anything back," he added. "I also immediately filed a complaint with the [Consumer Financial Protection Bureau] because this whole thing seems decidedly non-kosher." Bartholow wrote that...

Lab Zero Games will give Mane6 a free Skullgirls engine license to use in Fighting is Magic if the Skullgirls IndieGoGo campaign reaches $725,000, Lab Zero Games' tweeted. Hasbro killed the development of the My Little Pony fan-made fighting game in February and it still refuses to grant Mane6 permission to create a game based on the franchise. To skirt the problem, Faust is creating new characters and a new setting for the game. "It means that with Lauren's help, we are going to finish this game, but it will no longer be based on the MLP franchise," a post stated on the Mane6 website. "It will be all new characters...
