Sony's Japan Studio is bringing three of its PlayStation Vita games to North America: fantasy action game Soul Sacrifice Delta and role-playing games Freedom Wars and Oreshika: Tainted Bloodlines. According to a post on the PlayStation Blog, Soul Sacrifice Delta will launch on May 13, with more details on Freedom Wars and Oreshika slated to drop in the coming months. Soul Sacrifice Delta (trailer above) includes the original 2013 title with a host of improvements as well as an expansion's worth of new content, including a new character with a new mission, improved AI, more character customization options and additional enemies, items and quests. A Japanese television commercial released by Sony demonstrates how the PlayStation Vita TV, a micro-console that allows users play PlayStation Vita and PSP games on their television with a DualShock 3 controller, connects and operates with TVs and PS Vita. As highlighted in the video above, PS Vita TV can serve as a Remote Play hub for PlayStation 4 and will also support video and music services, such as Hulu, Music Unlimited and Nico Nico. Eventually, PS Vita TV users will have access to 1,300 games and packages released for the PS Vita, PSP and the original PlayStation, such as Lumines, Rayman Origins, Gundam Breaker and Soul Sacrifice Delta. Soul Sacrifice will receive free cross-over DLC with Toukiden: Age of Demons in Japan later this month, developer Comcept announced in a new teaser trailer for the upcoming content. On Oct. 24, an enemy type called Gouenma from Age of Demons will become available in Soul Sacrifice. Additionally, Sony will re-release Soul Sacrifice as a Greatest Hits title on Oct. 10. We've contacted Sony about a potential North American release of this cross-over DLC and will update when further information in made available.

A Tokyo Game Show 2013 trailer for an updated version of PS Vita action title Soul Sacrifice focuses on the new abilities and enemies added this time around. The narration is entirely in Japanese, but the images on-screen speak mostly for themselves. Players will be able to align themselves with one of three magic factions: Avalon, Sanctuary and Grim. With their newfound powers they can do battle against hordes of nasty-looking fantasy beasts, turning the world upside down and raising the ground to better deal with flying foes. A demo for Soul Sacrifice, Keiji Inafune's upcoming action role-playing game, will be available in North America on April 16 and in Europe the following day, according to posts on PlayStation's official blogs. The PlayStation Vita demo "begins in despair," according to Sony Computer Entertainment America producer Kumi Yuasa's blog post. Players will find themselves imprisoned and awaiting sacrifice. A mysterious talking book called Librom appears, speaks of a special power and invites players to read. "But it's best that we spoil no more than that!" Yuasa wrote. A new trailer for Soul Sacrifice, Marvelous AQL's upcoming action role-playing game, contains vignettes of epic battles, characters options and multiplayer. Check out the trailer above, which was released yesterday on the Japanese PlayStation YouTube channel with a title that translates to "magic battle action." Soul Sacrifice, the latest game from Mega Man, Resident Evil and Dead Rising veteran Keiji Inafune, is scheduled for release in North America on April 30. Soul Sacrifice's score was composed by Yasunori Mitsuda and Wataru Hokoyama, and a new video from publisher Sony Computer Entertainment offers a look at the recording at Skywalker Sound of a battle theme from the game. In the behind-the-scenes video, Hokoyama conducts the orchestra in playing music Mitsuda composed, as Mitsuda watches on. It's a full orchestra along with vocalists and a guitar, for a stirring theme reminiscent of the God of War franchise. Sony has released a video offering a glimpse into the making of the music of Soul Sacrifice. The behind-the-scenes video includes a number of short interviews with the developers of the PlayStation Vita title, along with the musicians and producers of the game's soundtrack.
