Strike Suit Infinity, the standalone expansion to space mech combat game Strike Suit Zero, hits Steam today with a launch trailer to commemorate the occasion. As the name might suggest, Infinity is a survival-type game in which the player's forces are tested against increasingly deadly waves of enemies, with defeat being a question of when, not if. Players will be able to pilot and upgrade one of three Strike Suit mechs and purchase reinforcements and other weaponry to stand a better chance at holding out just that much longer. Strike Suit Infinity is now available on Steam for $6.99.

Strike Suit Zero developer Born Ready Games released the space combat title's third patch today, adding fan-requested content such as difficulty settings and a cockpit view, the studio announced today. With the first major update since Strike Suit Zero's launch in January, Born Ready is responding to requests and criticism from fans and reviews about the game's difficulty curve. Three difficulty levels will now be available — Easy, Normal and Hardcore — and the studio has also leveled out some of the game's difficulty spikes. And Born Ready also added the ability to save at a checkpoint, exit the game and return to that point. Strike Suit Zero, Born Ready Games' space combat title featuring transforming mechanical suits, is now available on Windows PC, and it will launch on Mac and Linux later this year, the studio announced today. Born Ready raised nearly $175,000 in a Kickstarter campaign last fall, but fell just short of a stretch goal that would have unlocked Mac and Linux versions of the game. However, the studio is pushing forward with development on those platforms anyway. The company previously confirmed support for the Oculus Rift headset.
