Valve announced the sixth set of Steam Greenlight games today, including Death, Inc., which fell short of its Kickstarter goal earlier this year. Other Kickstarter veterans include Dead State, a turn-based zombie combat role-playing game, and Shovel Knight, developer Yacht Club Games' "love letter to 8-bit games." Dreamfall Chapters: The Longest Journey surpasses target funding, stretch goals announced

Dreamfall Chapters: The Longest Journey has exceeded its $850,000 Kickstarter goal in one week, according to the latest update. "This is all thanks to you, our fans and friends and supporters," the update reads. "Because of your generosity, your enthusiasm, your tireless dedication, the story will continue and this game is no longer just a beautiful dream: it's real!" The campaign will continue to raise funds toward new stretch goals. If funding reaches $900,000, the studio will create Mac and Linux versions of the game. Actress Sarah Hamilton will provide her voice for a yet-to-be-announced role in Red Thread Studio's upcoming sequel Dreamfall Chapters, the company announced via Kickstarter. Dreamfall Chapters comes to Kickstarter

Dreamfall Chapters, the sequel to the classic adventure games The Longest Journey and Dreamfall: The Longest Journey, hit Kickstarter today with a funding goal of $850,000. The upcoming PC title is being independently developed by Red Thread Studios, a new game developer headed by the creator of the Longest Journey series, Ragnar Tornquist. Chapters will finally offer a conclusion to the two previous games, bringing an end to the story of Dreamfall protagonist Zoe Castillo. The game will support both keyboard and mouse as well as a controller, with gameplay focused around both point-and-click and direct control. Using Kickstarter, the team hopes to hire additional artists, animators, designers and programmers required to create the world, characters, tools and technology for the game....
