PlayStation Plus update brings NBA Jam: On Fire Edition free to subscribers as Holiday Essentials sale winds down

A Dec. 31 update to PlayStation Plus brought NBA Jam: On Fire Edition and Chronovolt free to Plus subscribers amid the final week of the Holiday Essentials sale, according to a post on the PlayStation Blog. Released in Oct. 2011, NBA Jam: On Fire Edition's arcade basketball action is regularly $19.99 for PlayStation 3 owners. Chronovolt, a steampunk-influenced puzzle platformer from Playerthree, released in December and offers gameplay reminiscent of Marble Madness for the PlayStation Vita. PlayStation Plus subscribers can download both for free.
