Wildman Kickstarter update introduces viewers to Kevin Pun’s concept art

The latest Kickstarter update for Gas Powered Games' Wildman offers a look at how concept artist Kevin "The Punisher" Pun creates his illustrations. Pun walks through the work involved in conceptualizing a jungle, from early ideas and casual brainstorming to fully illustrated art. The Wildman campaign will end on Friday, Feb. 15. Currently, more than $465,000 of the $1.1 million goal has been raised. Polygon previously reported that if successful, the campaign could also save the company itself.


Gas Powered Games holding live Q&A today, will stream progress daily until campaign ends

Developer Gas Powered Games will host live streams every weekday until the Kickstarter campaign for its RTS role-playing game Wildman ends on Feb. 15, CEO Chris Taylor announced in an update to the game's Kickstarter page. Weekdays at 8 p.m. ET, associate engineer Bruce Bjorklund will host a live stream on the Gas Powered Games Twitch channel. Wildman developer explains the difficulties of RTS design on a crowdfunded budget

Gas Powered Games founder Chris Taylor tackles fan questions relating to the studio's currently in-development Wildman RPG, offering an explanation as to why the studio didn't attempt to create a pure real-time strategy game to appeal to its fanbase who enjoyed the likes of Supreme Commander and Total Annihilation. Roam throws you into a base-building zombie wasteland on PC and Mac

Former Gas Powered Games developer Ryan Sharr is teaming up with colleague Zach Barson to develop a new zombie-centric base-building title, Roam, which they hope to fund through a $40,000 Kickstarter campaign. The isometric strategy title throws the player into a zombie-filled wasteland where they must scavenge for supplies to build up a base and defend themselves from continued waves of undead hordes. Every stage of the game is procedurally-generated, increasing in difficulty over time. NPCs will react to choices the player makes throughout, while zombies can mutate and increase in strength. Wildman developer demonstrates new mod tool and platform Project Mercury

Gas Powered Games' Chris Taylor gives a demonstration of the studio's mod tool and web platform, Project Mercury, in the latest Kickstarter update for the struggling Wildman action RPG. The development suite, which Taylor refers to as an "infinite desktop," is "like having a warehouse that's infinitely big. You never put anything away," he says. "You can manage space. Dungeon Siege developers post first update for Wildman Kickstarter campaign

The developers behind Dungeon Siege and Supreme Commander released their first update video for Wildman today, an action role-playing strategy PC game that they hope to Kickstart through the crowd-funding platform. In the three minute video, developer Chris Taylor answers questions from backers and shows the first gameplay footage. The footage shows the Wildman with a club-like bone running around and fighting in a war zone while Taylor provides commentary on how far the game is into development.
