MotorStorm RC to be free on Vita for limited time

MotorStorm RC, the miniaturized off-shoot of the PlayStation racing franchise developed by Evolution Studios, will be free on PS Vita for a limited time starting tomorrow afternoon. The game will be downloadable on the PS Vita and PS3 PlayStation Store — though PS3 owners will need to dish out $9.99 ($7.49 for PlayStation Plus subscribers) to obtain it.

The temporary free-ness of MotorStorm RC comes as a result of Sony's partnership with the Scion iQ, which comes with the PS Vita version of the title. Rather, an RC version of the Scion iQ is one of the playable vehicles in the game — we're pretty sure that a full-sized iQ would have an unfair advantage against its ankle-high competitors, though that kind of power would make for a great in-game marketing message. There's no word on when the promotion will end, so we suggest you grab the free title as soon as you can.
