Sky Gamblers: Air Supremacy, a new dogfighting sim from Namco Bandai, will launch exclusively on the new iPad later this month. The title was demoed during today's Apple press conference, and resembles the publisher's latest Ace Combat title. Namco's James Shelton said the graphical capabilities of the new iPad are "console quality," thanks to the device's retina display and A5X chipset.

The demo showed off how dogfights would play out using a clever combination of touch and gyroscopic controls — for instance, once their plane was overwhelmed with enemy forces, the player can shake the iPad to eject. Few other details about the title were shown off; we'll contact Namco to see what we can find out.
