Completing a character in DUST 514 would take seven years.
CCP's chief marketing officer David Reid says that fully-upgrading a soldier in DUST 514 would require roughly seven years of play time. We're talking human years, not some bizarre in-game version of time.
We asked Reid to take us through the dense character customization sheet. It was overwhelming. This was my immediate impression: decking out a character with the occasional for-pay boost will be all the more tempting when I consider the free-to-play alternative: one hundred percenting the game in 2019. Of course, not every character must be some sort of monstrous superman hellbent on razing the universe one battlefield at a time.
