Family Guy: Back to the Multiverse will launch September 25th on Xbox 360 and PS3, according to an Amazon listing for the heretofore unannounced game.

An apparently early piece of box art for the title lists Activision as its supposed publisher. No other details about the game are mentioned on the page.

We reached out to Activision, and a representative responded, saying, "Stay tuned on this. We will have more news for you shortly." We're not sure how shortly they mean, but we'll keep one of our ears placed firmly on the ground.

Update 5/7: Activision has confirmed development of Family Guy: Back to the Multiverse and, while very few details were given, the publisher did say "the title will offer gamers an interactive Family Guy experience inspired by one of the most popular and notable episodes in the series' history." If you want to spoil everything, you can read about the "Road to the Multiverse" episode on Wikipedia.
